The Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap is a 1400 metre open handicap race run by the Victoria Racing Club in late February or early March. It is held at Flemington as part of the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival.

The race was first held in 2001 as a Listed race called the PFD Food Services Stakes and was won by Sedation. In 2005 the name changed to the Chubb Stakes, In 2008 it was run as an Open Handicap (unlisted) called the Melbourne Food &Wine Plate, then the Mrs Mac’s Pies Handicap in 2010. In 2011 it became a Listed race again that changed its name annually  – TAB 50th Birthday Stakes (2011), VIC TAB Guaranteed $2m Quaddie Stakes (2012), TAB Stakes (2013). In 2014 it was upgraded to the current Group 3 status  as the TAB Rewards Stakes, in 2019 it was the TAB Multiplier Autumn Handicap, and from 2019 it has been the TAB Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap.

It was run at Caulfield in 2007 while the track at Flemington was being reconstructed.
