Our Kyneton Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting. The feature is the Kyneton Cup (race 8).
Night Passage (Kyneton Race 9 No. 9)
This five-year-old Not a Single Doubt mare trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy has three wins and five places from 17 starts, and has raced here once before for a win. She took over at the 250m and bolted in for a 6.8 length win over 1400m at Ballarat on 19 September, then took the lead but faded to finish four lengths off the winner last start over 1400m at Horsham on 17 October. She is better than that and is a leading hope here.

Each Way
Dark Dream (Kyneton Race 8 No. 1):
This seven-year-old gelding trained by Ben & JD Hayes has six wins and 10 places from 31 starts. He just battled for 8.4 lengths 10th over 2040m at Moonee Valley on 4 September, then ran on strongly closing hard the entire straight to finish 0.3 length 2nd in the Moe Cup over 2050m on 15 October. That was an excellent lead-up for this and he looks a strong each-way chance here in the Kyneton Cup.

Kwoi Hoi (Kyneton Race 4 No. 4):
This four-year-old Danerich gelding trained by Cliff Brown is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap over 1106m. He finished 3.3 lengths 4th over 1600m at Cranbourne on 23 September, then was a 4 length winner of a maiden plate over 1887m at Kyneton on 12 October. This is much harder than a maiden and he offers no value here.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight.
