Our Ballarat Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Smokin’ Romans (Ballarat Race 7 No. 5)
This Maher & Eustace trained gelding has been excellent at his last two. He ran second at Sandown, then showed a lovely turn of foot to accelerate past American Angle at Pakenham who has subsequently ran well at Caulfield. He has drawn wide but that is not a huge concern as they generally come down the middle of the Ballarat track later in the day.

Gennady (Ballarat Race 4 No. 2):
Gennady has always showed good talent but the gelding at the start of this preparation might be the making of him. He jumped out well at Cranbourne prior to a strong first up win at Sale where he surged to the line from back in the field. He should be able to position up a bit handier from barrier six here and with natural improvement can be in the finish again at a price.

Who Runs The World (Ballarat Race 2 No. 11):
Who Runs The World has come up as the early favourite in race two. She has finished in the placings at five of her ten career starts however is yet to break through for her first win. A couple of these have showed good promise in their jump outs and therefore I am happy to work around her at the short quote.
