Modear (Bendigo Race 4 No. 2)
This Patrick Payne galloper resumed from a seven week let up at Sandown on March 31. She got too far back on that occasion but showed her customary fast finish to storm home into fourth place. This looks a much better set up for her stepping out to 1100m with the senior rider, Craig Williams, going on. She should be able to settle closer from barrier six and get her chance to sprint home over the top of them.

Sacred Snow (Bendigo Race 1 No. 9):
Sacred Snow resumes in her second preparation. She has looked good in two recent jump outs and draws perfectly in barrier five for the in form Jye McNeil. This is not a deep maiden and if you ignore her failure on debut where she started single figures in a strong Geelong maiden then she looks to have a strong chance here.

The Mockingbird (Bendigo Race 5 No. 2):
The Mockingbird has come up as the early favourite in race five. She’s fit and racing well but runs into a couple of lightly raced horses on the way up here in Prince Romany and Poppy Joan. I have them ahead of her in my market so happy to risk her here.
