This Pierro gelding will be fitter now after two runs back from a very long break. He resumed for 2 lengths 6th over 1300m at Bendigo on 28 March after being held up in the straight, then he ran on strongly out wide to finish 0.75 length 2nd over 1400m at Caulfield on 18 April. He has drawn out wide but has raced in much stronger races last campaign and should be very hard to beat.

He was slowly away and chased steadily for 3.7 lengths 5th over 1200m at Caulfield on 11 April, then was slowly away again but ran on strongly out wide to win the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes by 1.5 lengths over 1100m at Caulfield on 18 April. He should be competitive again at the same track and distance and is worth an each-way bet at the current price.
