Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Skyman  (Flemington Race 7 No. 5)
Chris Waller has three runners in this BM78 handicap over 2000m, but this five-year-old gelding looks the pick of the bunch. At his last race in Britain he finished 3rd over 2040m at Nottingham on a heavy track on 16 October. He had his first Australian start on 25 July, where he ran on strongly out wide to win by 2.25 lengths at Caulfield at long odds. That was an impressive win and he should win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Frankie Two Angels (Flemington Race 3 No.2):
This Medaglio D’Oro gelding has only had two starts. He ran 4.3 lengths 6th over 1200m at Moonee Valley on debut, then was strong late to win by 0.3 lengths over 1300m at Sandown Hillside on 22 July. He is bred for further so the 1800m should suit and he looks a good each-way chance here.

Best Lay

Tavidance (Flemington Race 4 No. 10):
This Tavistock gelding is the early favourite in this 1720m race. He looked good when he took over at the 300m and raced away for a 2 length win over 1400m at Caulfield on 11 July, then he started as odds-on favourite and was slowly away and only battled on for 3.9 lengths 6th over 1600m at Caulfield on 25 July. This race looks a little harder so he does not look like value.
