Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Coolth (Flemington Race 3 No. 5)
With two wins from two starts this Dundeel gelding trained by Tony McEvoy has started his career well. He debuted with a 3 length win coming from well back over 1600m at Balaklava on 29 April, then came from last to win by 2.4 lengths over 1600m at Murray Bridge on 23 May. This will be his first metropolitan race but he has a strong finish and certainly looks capable of making it 3 wins from 3 starts..

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Iconoclasm (Flemington Race 8 No. 1):
With 10 wins and 5 places from 27 starts, this Toorak Toff horse has a good strike rate. He chased steadily for 0.75 lengths, 1.5 lengths 3rd in the VOBIS Gold Mile over 1600m at Caulfield on 18 April, then settled mid-field and ran on strongly between runners to nab a 0.1 length win over 1400m at Flemington on 16 May. He has won four times at this track and this is his best distance. He is a solid each-way bet at the current price.

Outrageous (Flemington Race 6 No. 13):
This All Too Hard gelding trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes is the early favourite in this quality handicap over 1400m. He has had 3 starts this campaign for 3rd over 1200m at Randwick on 18 April, 3rd over 1400m at Kensington on 2 May, and a close 2nd over 1400m at Randwick on a heavy track on 23 May. He only has 3 wins from 25 starts and although he is very honest he is far from a sure thing here.
