Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Jigsaw (Moonee Valley Race 1 No. 1)

Bomb proof colt who should jump and ride the speed here.  He won easily first up at Caulfield and his Cranbourne jump out in between runs was outstanding.  Hard to beat again.

Each Way

Flash Flood (Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 18):

Flash Flood is a three year old gelding resuming in his second preparation.  He progressed quickly from winning a Wangaratta maiden in August to a three year old open race here at his next start in September.  His jump outs leading into this have been very good and the booking of Jamie Kah is a big plus for this first up assignment.  As long as they can make ground I expect him to be fighting out the finish.

Red Santa (Moonee Valley Race 8 No. 4):

Red Santa has come up as the early favourite in race eight.  He was able to score narrowly at Caulfield last start after getting a good run in transit but he doesn’t appear to get the same map favours here from the wide gate.   Would also query him on a heavy track if the predicted rain hits.  Happy to work around him.
