This Shooting to Win gelding has had four starts for four wins. Three wins have been on soft going and two wins were at this track. He took over at the 150m and was strong to the line winning by 0.4 lengths over 1440m at Caulfield on 27 June, then sprinted clear at the 250m to race away for a 2.5 length win over 1400m at Caulfield on 11 July. This is a similar race and he should be able to notch up victory number five.

Travimyfriend (Caulfield Race 6 No. 3):
This seven-year-old has improved at each of his last three runs. He chased steadily out wide for 4.3 lengths 5th over 1440m at Caulfield on 27 June, then settled 5th and took over at the 200m and went clear for a 1.5 length win over 1400m at Caulfield on 11 July. He handles soft going well and after the way he went last outing he looks a good each-way bet.

Double You Tee (Caulfield Race 8 No. 1):
This Written Tycoon gelding is the early favourite in this Stayers race over 2394m, and has had five starts this campaign without a win as he builds up in distance. He chased steadily along the rails for 5th over 2000m at Caulfield on 27 June, then settled well back and battled on steadily out wide for 4.4 lengths 10th over 2000m at Flemington when he was well-backed. Last run was disappointing and I won’t be backing him until he shows improvement.
