This Shooting To Win filly is unbeaten in all three runs, has won twice in soft going and has won at the track. She chased hard and went clear over the last 50m for a length win over 1200m at Ballarat on 14 June, then took over at the 150m and was strong to the line to win by 0.4 length over 1440m at Caulfield on 27 June. She looks capable of maintaining her unbeaten record here.

Bless Her (Caulfield Race 8 No. 4):
With 3 wins and 3 places from 7 starts this filly is very consistent. She took over at the 350m and was strong to the line for a length win on a soft track over 1212m at Sale on 12 May, then charged to the front at the 200m and won by a length on a heavy track over 1000m at Sandown Hillside on 24 June. This is a big field but I’m expecting her to run well again and she is worth an each-way bet.

Triple Strip (Caulfield Race 9 No. 14):
This mare has won 7 races in Tasmania so clearly has talent, but I’m not sure she’s entitled to be favourite here. At her first Australian race she finished 4th over 1420m at Flemington on 20 June where she was held up and never fully tested. Early in the year she was racing over 1800-2200m in Tasmania so will like the longer distance but she is up against some good competition and doesn’t look like value.
