Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.
Videmanette (Launceston Race 7 No. 7)
This four-year-old Al Maher mare has two wins and two places from 12 starts and is going well at the moment. She raced three wide with no cover but kept finding for 0.5 length 2nd over 1600m at Hobart on 14 March, then won by 3,5 lengths over 1600m at Hobart on 28 March. She had her first win at this track back in June and looks the leading chance here.

Border Protection (Launceston Race 3 No. 1):
This five-year-old gelding trained by Adam Trinder has two wins and 15 places from 25 starts and has ran 3rd at his last three starts. He was held up in the ruck before getting clear late to finish 0.3, 0.75 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Launceston on 21 February, then was out sprinted when 1, 3 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Launceston on 24 March. He doesn’t win out of turn but has a great place strike rate and looks a solid each-way bet.

Sh’bourne Renegade (Launceston Race 6 No. 3):
This four-year-old Wordsmith gelding has six wins and a place from 19 starts and is the early favourite in the Tasmanian St Leger over 2150m. He finished 0.1 length 2nd in a tight 3-way finish in the Group 3 Launceston Cup over 2400m on 24 February, then battled away for 5.6 lengths 5th over 2500m at Moonee Valley on 13 March.
