Horse Racing Tips : TAS Wednesday 1st November 2023

Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday.

Rail: True (Previously +6m)
Surface: Good

Notes: The Launceston track has recently undergone some repairs and has raced well thus far this season. The rail shifts back to the true, so the inside running should be fresh ground.

As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight.

Jockeys to follow:
– Brendon McCoull: 22.7%SR @ 10.9% POT @ Launceston
– Erica Byrne Burke: 18%SR @ 53% POT Last 100 Runners

Trainers to follow:
– Michael Trinder: 13.1%SR @ 31% POT @ Launceston
– Sarah Cotton: 17%SR @ 32.7% POT @ Launceston

Best Bet

Red Sphere (Launceston Race 4 No. 2)

Strong maiden winner on debut and immediately sent for a spell. Resumes here off the back of two nice trials and looks hard to beat. Expect Brendon McCoull to settle behind the leaders and be strong to the line late.

$2.40 (at time of writing).

How to pick a winner

Best Each Way

Geegees Hisword (Launceston Race 8 No. 1):

Resuming off some handy work at the trials. Looks ready to go 1st up and finds a fairly even race here, down in grade. He’s well in here with the use of 4kg claimer Jackson Radley, who takes the reigns. Jackson shouldn’t find much traffic in a small field and hopefully his mount is strongest late.

$4.40/2.00 (at time of writing) – I will be backing on a 1×2 each-way basis at SP/Top Tote

Best Lay

Hilarity (Launceston Race 1 No. 5):

Faces toughest ask to date first up, and has gone up very short. Happy to be against.

LAY (EACH WAY) for 1 unit at < $4.60/2.00
