Horse Racing Tips : TAS Sunday 25th June 2023

Our Hobart Horse Racing Tips for Sunday’s meeting.

Best Bet

Furneaux (Hobart Race 6 No. 2):

David Pires should be able to control the race despite FURNEAUX being drawn off the track. Went well 1st up but knocked up late after doing work early, with improved fitness 2nd up should prove to be too good. Soft track should also suit here. Anything above $2.70 is worth betting with confidence.

$2.70

Best Each Way

Nev’s Boy (Hobart Race 8 No. 17):

Tough day as a whole, and even tougher day to find value but have found NEV’S BOY as a runner that may have been missed by the market. He’s been more than competitive in this grade previously, and had excuses last start and still ran home well. Should appreciate the soft track and in an even race full of speed he might be the one flying home late.

$26.00/5.00

Best Lay

Miss Chica Mala (Hobart Race 1 No. 12):

Even race with what looks a messy map for the favourite MISS CHICA MALA. Now having start five for the campaign this looks a bit of a hail mary to secure a maiden win. Gets the services of Brendon McCoull which frightens me as he can make tricky steers like this look easy but she looks under the odds for the task at hand.

Lay (WIN) at < $4.00

Key Comments The rail is true. The track has been playing to those on speed lately. The first selection should be winning and makes a nice multi with the best bet. Best Bet Dantooine (Stawell Race 8 No. 1) Racing well and while the form from the Bool carnival has been sus, this 3yo Gelding made good ground on a track suiting those on speed.
