Best Bet | Race 2 #7 Reggiewood

Very interesting visitor for Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou as they introduce their team for the Queensland winter. Reggiewood struggled in the heavy conditions last start in Sydney and it’s obvious there no coincidence in bringing him here to the firm Eagle Farm surface. This galloper has come from Hong Kong and ran well at his first two outings, winning at Randwick when out to 1800m. Last start the wet track and tricky Canterbury circuit was not to his likening. This race looks perfectly suited with the apprentice claim in a small field.

Next Best | Race 5 #11 Festival Prince

Becoming a bit costly for punters and this is his last chance. He strikes a perfect race, is drawn and weighed well, and the small step up to 1500m looks ideal. Despite being beaten at two runs in this prep, he’s done nothing wrong and I feel this is his race to lose.

Best Each Way | Race 4 #9 Saweetie

Another one which is becoming costly for punters but I can’t see her missing a place unless she gets an absolutely awful run. The gate is a touch tricky but she should have the early pace to get across and hold the lead or sit just outside the favourite Glamborghini. She will be much improved second-up after condition gave out first-up when running a brave second.
