Best bet – Race 6 #14 Count Da Beans

Best horse in the race and gets in with 53.5kg after the claim for Angela Jones. Drawn perfectly in barrier four and showed better gate speed in the latest trial, which was a nice hit-out despite being beaten almost 8L behind stablemate Spiritualised. Can push up and box seat from the good draw and storm home. In the market for the Archer next start and also in the market for the Stradbroke. Smart horse with the coveted Yellow Brick form from last prep and arguably should have chalked to a win against that horse. Flies fresh.

Best each way – Race 1 #4 Fetch

Ultra consistent mare who rarely runs a bad race – with 15 starts for five wins and rarely out of the top three, with many of those defeats coming in better races. Third-up in the prep and ready to fire, with barrier one can box seat and await the gaps in the straight. Good track is the key with four of her five wins coming on this type of dry ground. She pinged the lids last start and ended up box seating, but got a bit keen. They could’ve led that race, and I wonder if they try to lead here. The issue is there is also is a bit of pace to her outside which may force her to be box seat or even a pair further back on the fence. Either way I’m sure she’ll in the finish again.
