Best Bet | Race 7 #9 Go Wandji

Keen to see Go Wandji again and it’s mighty hard to go past him in this race. He’s got huge closing speed and runs good time. On this occasion he’s drawn wide but the reality is he’ll go straight back, likely to last, and be saved for one last shot at them in the closing stages. Larry Cassidy knows this horse well and the pair absolutely bolted in last start at this track. He’s won six races from eight careers runs, and I expect he can add another win to that impressive record.

Next Best | Race 5 #12 Amity Gal

There’s a bit of a boom on this David Vandyke-trained filly.  She won impressively on debut, and has been strongly backed but beaten fair and square at her next two runs. She’s drawn the inside here and there’s plenty of pace to her outside. It could give jockey Craig Robertson the opportunity to try and tuck her away behind a few runners. I think that would be the best way to get her back to the winners’ circle. She also drops 3kg which is significant.

Best Each Way | Race 3 #5 Early Thoughts

Big price in an even race. Third-up now and ready to peak after two solid runs back this preparation. He won third-up last preparation and I reckon condition has just given out when running second at both runs this time in. Drawn well and looks to be right up on the pace, perhaps even leading. Will be in this for a long way.
