Our Warwick Farm Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Gunaluva (Warwick Farm Race 5 No. 6):
This four-year-old grey gelding trained by John Sargent has two wins and four places from ten starts. He took over straightening but was run down late for 0.87, 0.01 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Wyong on 7 November, then he went clear at the 200m and kept going for a 2.68 length win over 2600m at Gosford on 21 November. He had the best overall sectionals in that race and drops 4kg from that run. Stepping up to metropolitan racing but looks up to it.

Each Way

Havin’ Fun (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 7):
This four-year-old All Too Hard mare trained by John Sargent has raced 12 times and has only had one win but has placed four times. She resumed from a 26 week break for 0.2, 0.8 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Kensington on 28 October where she had the best 800-400m race sectionals and looked to want further. Lst start she was held up and switched inside runners late for 0.1, 0.4 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 25 November. She is nice and fit and looks a a good each-way chance.

Best Lay

Strawb (Warwick Farm Race 4 No. 5):
This five-year-old Fastnet Rock mare trained by Nathan Doyle at Newcastle is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 1300m.  This mare has won 4 of her 8 starts and resumed from a 17 week spell for 8 lengths 11th over 1400m at Newcastle on 14 November where she was slow to recover and can be forgiven. Her wins have been at Newcastle (twice), Scone and Coffs Harbour and I think she is vulnerable racing at metropolitan level
