Our Warwick Farm Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Deference (Warwick Farm Race 4 No. 3):
This four-year-old Exceed And Excel gelding trained by James Cummings has one win and seven places from 14 starts and looks close to another win. He kept chasing for 3.2 lengths 7th over 1100m at Randwick on 12 December, then only got clear late and chased hard for 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1100m at Warwick Farm on a soft track when sent out as favourite on 23 December. He has barrier 2 and gets his chance to win again.

Escaped (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 2):
At the end of last campaign this four-year-old Exceed And Excel gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott was winded badly for 5.1 lengths 8th over 1300m at Randwick on 5 September then was spelled. He resumed for a fighting 0.8 lengths 2nd on a soft track over 1150m at Kensington on 17 December and has a good record on soft and heavy going. He looks an nice each-way chance.

La Grisa (Warwick Farm Race 3 No. 8):
This five-year-old grey mare from the John O’Shea stable is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 2200m. She resumed from a 25 week spell for 0.4, 0.1 lengths 3rd over 1600m at Warwick Farm on 9 December. then was looking for a run straightening and chased hard for 4 lengths 8th over 1800m on soft going at Randwick on 26 December. She is untested over the distance and doesn’t have a good record on rain-affected going, so looks a risk.
