Our Coffs Harbour Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Ciao Uno (Coffs Harbour Race 6 No. 1):
This three-year-old filly from the Kris Lees stable has one win and four places from six starts. She kept chasing for 0.68 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Port Macquarie on 12 November, then levelled up at the 150m but was outgunned late for 0.31 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Newcastle on 24 November. She should race on the speed, has a 2kg claim and looks the leading hope.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Rubick’s Command (Coffs Harbour Race 9 No. 2):
This four-year-old Rubick gelding trained by Jeremy Sylvester at Cessnock has one win and two places from four starts. He reached the lead at the 200m but found one better late to finish 0.23 length 2nd over 1100m at Armidale on 1 December, then took over soon after straightening and held the lead for a good 0.92 length win over 1300m at Gunnedah on 15 December. Looks a solid each-way chance.

Mighty Quinn (Coffs Harbour Race 8 No. 6):
This six-year-old gelding trained by Jay Bellamy on the Gold Coast is the early favourite in this BM 58 handicap over 2015m. He led into the straight but was swamped by the winner for 1.75 lengths 2nd over 2200m at Gold Coast on 28 November, then began well but was winded late and finished 11.75 lengths 7th over 1800m at Gold Coast on 5 December. Doesn’t represent value here.
