Our Warwick Farm Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Rupertaar (Warwick Farm Race 3 No. 5):
This three-year-old Winning Rupert filly trained by Bjorn Baker has three wins from four starts. When resuming from a 20 week spell she led all the way for a 0.4 length win in a Class 1 handicap over 900m at Newcastle on 4 December, then chased hard to find the front at the 120m and come away for a 1.6 length win over 1000m at Gosford with the best last 600m race sectional. Drawn ideally in barrier 1 she looks the leading contender.

Girls Are Ready (Warwick Farm Race 5 No. 8):
This five-year-old Better Than Ready mare trained by Joe Cleary has five wins and eight places from 30 starts. She took over in the last 200m to win by nearly 3 lengths on heavy going in an Open Handicap over 1400m at Canberra on 26 November, then ran on to finish 1.3 lengths 2nd in the Moruya Cup over 1425m on 3 January. Has won or placed in all four starts this campaign, and has great heavy track form. Looks a nice each-way chance.

Off Shaw (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 2):
This six-year-old gelding trained by Bjorn Baker is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 1200m.  At the end of last campaign he led until nailed on the line for a close 2nd over 2000m at the Rosehill at Kembla Grange meeting on 28 August, then was beaten at the 350m and finished 18 lengths last with cardiac arrhythmia over 2400m on 11 September before spelling. Resumes after 17 weeks but prefer to see.

Best Bet Typhoon Taavi (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 3) This mare from the Tony Gollan stable has won her last 2 races by big margins. Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is off the back of a strong second placing and looks hard to hold out launching from the good draw. Best Bet Red Red Wine (Echuca Race 8 No. 5) He has been hard to catch lately but was keen on him earlier this prep when he was smashed in the market and ran on well in a higher grade than this. Gets his chance in this field and should relish the drop in
