Our Warwick Farm Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Newsreader (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 12):
This three-year-old Press Statement filly trained by John O’Shea has a win and three places from seven starts. At the end of last campaign she was eased down in the straight for 11 lengths 7th over 1400m at Randwick on 3 November before a ten week spell. She resumed with an easy 2.25 length win over 1200m at Gold Coast on 16 January and looks the leading hope here.

Irish Angel (Warwick Farm Race 5 No. 8):
This four-year-old Not A Single Doubt mare has had two placings from three runs this campaign. She was winded in the latter stages and pulled up with respiratory noises when 4.9 lengths 7th over 1200m at Warwick Farm on 6 January, then chased hard for 0.2 length 2nd over 1000m at Warwick Farm on 26 January. Looks well-placed in this mares race and is worth an each-way bet.

Travest (Warwick Farm Race 6 No. 8):
This four-year-old Tavistock gelding is the early favourite in this 4YO & Up BM 72 handicap over 1400m. He resumed from a 20 week spell for 2.3 lengths 6th over 1100m at Randwick on 12 December, then came from well back for 2.7 lengths 7th over 1400m on a soft track at Randwick on 26 December. Others look to have better recent form and he offers no value.

Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000-380m mark and true for the remainder. Racing on a soft 5 track. The best bet is early on in the day. Best Bet Greaves (Canberra Race 2 No. 1) Capable of a big finish when on song. The map here looks good from barrier 4 and Owen has options. This race suits and last start rates well enough to take this out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in the last. Best Bet Mishare (Seymour Race 8 No. 6) Likeable return when running 3rd in a race no harder than this. The kind draw and ideal map makes for appeal and there has been good support come race day. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Paris Shiraz (Seymour Race 7 No. 7) Nice win last start and still had a

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments There are 2 features on the meeting. The Mornington Cup (race 8) and the Hareeba Stakes (race 9). The rail is out 9 metres and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Perspiration (Mornington Race 1 No. 1) Has been excellent to date in 2 runs so far and looks ready to win. Ethan Brown does the steering and you can argue it should have won last start when taken wide and hit the line with plenty of intent.

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The Quokka (race 8) has $5 million prizemoney making it WA's richest race. There is also the Group 2 Karrrakatta Plate (race 7). The track is Good and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Yarralea (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) Last-start winner over 1500m at Ascot and draws to do no work. Should be hard to beat.
