Our Tamworth Horse Racing Tips for Tuesdays meeting.

Demeurer (Tamworth Race 6 No. 5)
This three-year-old Smart Missile gelding trained by Craig Martin at Tamworth has a win and a place from his three starts. He chased hard in the last 200m but finished just out of a placing for 3.04 length 4th over 1300m at Gunnedah on 15 December then was spelled for 22 weeks. On resuming he led on the rails and powered away for an easy 3.46 length win in a maiden handicap over 1200m at Moree on 20 May. Should race on the speed and looks well placed here.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

The Wayfarer (Tamworth Race 7 No. 5):
This three-year-old Headwater gelding trained by Rodney Northam at Scone has one win and three places from five starts. He couldn’t get to the leaders when 0.28, 0.12 length 3rd over 1000m at Gunnedah on 3 May, then led on the rails and kicked clear for a 3.04 length win in a country maiden plate over 1000m at Tamworth on 17 May. At the same track and distance he looks a nice each-way chance.

Best Lay

Cut ‘Em Up (Tamworth Race 2 No. 1):
This three-year-old Scissor Kick gelding trained by Cody Morgan at Taamworth is the early favourite in this maiden plate over 1000m. He has only had one start where he finished 3.87 lengths 6th over 1000m at Tamworth on 23 April. He gets the inside barrier here and will probably have natural improvement, but offers no value.

$2.90

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 17th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 9 metres the entire way. The best bet comes up in the last race of the day and is progressive enough to go right on with things. Best Bet Hypeman (Cranbourne Race 8 No. 6) Won nicely breaking maiden and looks progressive enough to go on with things here. Can bounce to the front from barrier 1 and looks a suitable race for Ethan Brown to take out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: Happy Valley, Wednesday 15th May 2024

Key Comments There is a 9-race program under the lights at Happy Valley. The rail is in the C position for the meeting, and the skies are clear so the track should be a Good 4. The first race is at 6.40pm Hong Kong time which is 8.40pm AEST. Best Bet Turin Warrior (Happy Valley Race 7 No. 3) Last-start winner at this track and distance. He’s drawn well and Karis Teetan sticks. Strong chance. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson
