Delightful Dream (Nowra Race 6 No. 7)
This four-year-old gelding trained by Barbara Joseph and Paul Jones has one win and one place from four starts. He didn’t want to go straight in the straight but finished 2.19 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Canberra on 17 March, then got to the middle of the straight but just battled for 1.36 lengths 5th over 1000m at Wagga on 5 April. He won’t be far away in the run and looks an excellent chance to win again.

Missile Magic (Nowra Race 2 No. 3):
Trained by Nick Olive at Canberra, this four-year-old Smart Missile gelding has finished 4th at his last three starts. He passed a couple in the straight for 5.7 lengths 4th over 1000m at Canberra on 17 March, then made some ground in the final 100m for 2.8 lengths 4th over 1100m at Nowra on 4 April. He has less weight here and looks a solid each-way chance.

Seporto (Nowra Race 7 No. 6):
This four-year-old Sepoy gelding is the early favourite in this benchmark 58 handicap over 2200m. He kept chasing for 0.44, 0.32 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Gosford on 1 April, then finished 4.05 lengths 5th over 2330m at Newcastle on 15 April. He is on a five day back-up here but with only one win from 30 starts I am prepared to risk him here.
