Our Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips for Thursdays meeting.
The feature event is the Ladies Day Cup (race 7).
Seduction Queen (Hawkesbury Race 3 No. 1)
This four-year-old Kermadec mare trained by Richard & Michael Freedman has three wins and six places from 15 starts. She came across heels at the 300m and kept chasing for a length 3rd over 1500m a Rosehill on 6 October, then chased hard to prevail in the latter stages for a 1.5 length win over 1800m at Hawkesbury on 21 October.Has won at the track and should handle the extra distance.

Major Murphy (Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 3):
This four-year-old Press Statement gelding trained by Andrew Macdonald at Newcastle has two wins and two places from 10 starts. He was hampered at the 350m then chased hard for 0.6 length 2nd over 1100m at Wyong with the best last 600m race sectional on 30 September, then kept battling away for 4.5 lengths 4th over 1100m at Warwick Farm on 13 October. Likely to race off the speed and looks a good each-way chance.
She chased solidly to hit the front at the 200m and kept going for a 1.3 length win over 1200m at Scone on 26 July, then led on the rails and got very tired but just lasted for a 0.3 length win over 1300m at Scone on 3 August. Likely to race on the speed and is a great each-way chance here.

Mr Burgundy (Hawkesbury Race 2 No. 3):
This three-year-old Super One gelding trained by William Freedman at Scone makes his debut here. He has had two trials at Muswellbrook where he was 2nd over 800m on 22 September, then a 6 length winner over 1000m on 6 October. Other runners have race experience and I’m prepared to risk him here.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Wednesday 8th May 2024
Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is +11 metres for the 9 race card. Best Bet Metalart (Eagle Farm Race 9 No. 9) Unbeaten at both his starts and should be running near the front. Both runs have been on soft going and he should be hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Thesecondatportsea (Eagle Farm Race 4 No. 4) She’s won 3 of her 5 starts
Horse Racing Tips: SA Wednesday 8th May 2024
Key Comments The track is rated soft and the rail is +7 metres from the 800m to 400m and +6 for the remainder. Best Bet Chosen Miss (Gawler Race 4 No. 1) Last start she was 0.5 length 2nd at Strathalbyn and the start before was a 4 length winner at Balaklava. She’s in form and gets a 3kg claim for Tala Hutchinson. Nicely placed. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way High On
Horse Racing Tips: VIC Thursday 9th May 2024
Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet had no luck last run when a $101 chance and will start much shorter this time around. Best Bet Themoonsaballoon (Pakenham Race 4 No. 5) Remarkable effort to remain standing and hit the line like it did after the horse took a poor step and the jockey wasn't far off falling off. Picked up momentum regardless and steamed to the finish to just miss out on the win. This 6yo was $101.00 that day
Horse Racing Tips: WA Wednesday 8th May 2024
Key Comments There are 10 races today. The track is rated Soft and the rail is +16 metres and a cutaway applies. Best Bet Masamune (Ascot Race 5 No. 1) Resumes after a 21 week spell and showed a sharp turn of foot to win a recent trial. He has the inside draw and should be very hard to beat.
