Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Pandemic (Rosehill Race 7 No. 8)
This four-year-old Sepoy gelding trained by James Cummings has three wins and two places from nine starts. He resumed from a 30 week spell for 0.2, 2 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Warwick Farm on 7 October where he had the best overall race sectionals, then came from well back in the field for 2.1 lengths 4th over 1200m at Kembla Grange on 21 November. Two of his wins have been at this distance and he drops in weight. Should be very hard to beat.

Each Way

Atlantic King (Rosehill Race 4 No. 6):
This four-year-old More Than Ready gelding from the Matthew Dunn stable has two wins and four places from eight starts. He chased hard to prevail in the latter stages and win by 0.8 lengths over 1600m at Randwick on a soft track on 3 November where he had the best over all race sectionals, then settled at the rear and chased hard for 3.6 lengths 5th over 1500m at Kembla Grange on 21 November.  Can handle rain-affected going and looks a good each-way chance.

Best Lay

Selica (Rosehill Race 8 No. 11):
This four-year-old Makfi mare is the early favourite in this Fillies & mares BM 78 handicap over 1350m. She was outsprinted but kept fighting to the line when 2.25 lengths 4th over 1440m at Caulfield on 27 June, then settled well back and kept working to the line out wide for 2.95 lengths 7th over 1600m at Flemington on 4 July. She resumes from a 22 week spell, and even though she has won two from two first-up, she does not look like value in a very open race.
