Nutwood | (Pinjarra Race 5 No. 2)

Thought her first-up win was very tough and now she takes the logical step into class 1 company. She maps to either lead if they want it or sit in the front three from the inside barrier, which could be favourable depending on how the day plays. She gets a nice setup as she tackles 1300m and her natural progression from first-up to second-up is nothing but beneficial. Think she is an excellent bet at the price.

Current Price: $5.50

Kesem | (Pinjarra Race 2 No.6) / What A Prince | (Pinjarra Race 2 No.3)

Having a dual bet on this race as I think it’s a race in two. Loved the trial of Kesem in the lead-up to his debut as a five-year-old. He is likely to sit in a prominent position from barrier six and I love that Shaun O’Donnell is taking the ride. What A Prince is a deserved favourite and will likely stroll across from barrier nine to lead with ease. If Rawiller can dictate on him, he will be hard to catch.

Current Price: $3.60 / $1.90

Race 2 – No.6 Kesem / No.3 What A Prince – Next Best

Kesem is coming into this one on the back of a really nice trial and I love the booking of O’Donnell for him. I expect them to be forward with him and in a stalking position of our other bet What A Prince, who maps to get the lead by himself with Rawiller aboard. Betting on both was a no-brainer.

Race 5 – No.2 Nutwood – Best Bet

Maps well as she takes the natural progress from first-up to second-up, up in grade and distance looks logical. Considering where she is likely to end up on the map, she is a terrific each-way bet.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card on a good 4 track. The best bet is in the first and looks placed to win off the back of a sound return off a long break. Best Bet Media World (Kembla Grange Race 1 No. 3) This 2yo Colt was sound first up without much luck and looks set for better races than this. Can get the dream run from barrier 1 and break maiden in what is a handy field. Check odds on SmartB

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 3 metres and the track is heavy. Just 6 races on the small card and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Grand Horizon (Taree Race 1 No. 3) Gets barrier 1 and this 4yo Mare boasts 2 placings on the track and looks nicely placed against this bunch. Set to peak and looks primed to get another win and should do no work from the draw. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB
