Our Bendigo Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Hillcrest Moses (Bendigo 7 No. 3)
This Moshe gelding has had five starts for one win and one place. He resumed from a 17 week spell for 1.9 lengths 6th in a maiden plate over 1200m at Cranbourne on 11 October where he charged home but ran out of room inside the 100m and looked unlucky. Next start he was sent out as favourite in a maiden plate over 1206m at Benalla on 23 October where he took over at the 250m and charged clear late for a 3.5 length win. He is likely to race on the speed and should be able to win this class 1 handicap.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Marcheechi (Bendigo Race 5 No. 8):
This Toronado mare trained by Leon and Troy Corstens has placed in two of her three runs this campaign. She chased hard out wide closing through the line for 0.2 length 2nd in a BM58 over 1106m at Benalla on 25 September, then kept fighting to the line off a tough run for 0.2, 2.75 lengths 3rd in a BM58 over 1200m at Echuca on 12 October. She rates well with John Allen riding again and looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Nowitzki (Bendigo Race 3 No. 8):
This Deep Impact colt trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at Cranbourne is the early favourite in this maiden plate over 1400m. He has only had one start where he started favourite and finished last of 9 in a 2YO maiden handicap over 1400m on 18 April. He laid-in from the 500m, lost a plate in running and had a slightly abnormal respiratory noise. He resumes after 29 weeks and has had a Randwick trial but represents no value here.

Best Bet Bungarribee Lad (Barcaldine Race 6 No. 3) Bungarribee Lad kept coming but couldn’t reel in the leader for 0.5 length 2nd over 1300m at Rockhampton last start.
