Persan was terrific winning first up at Moonee Valley, then good again when finishing second in a high rating Easter Cup last start. He looks ideally suited here stepping out to 2600m third up and will only have to carry 58kg thanks to Matthew Cartwright’s 3kg claim.

Three Kings (Flemington Race 4 No. 4):
Have liked what this son of Sebring has done at his last two starts. He finished a narrow second at Sandown on March 31 with a big gap back to third, then powered away from them over the 1400m at Ballarat after siting outside the speed. He should be able to find a nice spot close to the speed again here and can be in the finish.

Incredulous Dream (Flemington Race 5 No. 4):
Incredulous Dream has come up as the early favourite in race five. I thought she had every chance last time out at Caulfield. She found a lovely spot in the run and was terribly weak through the line. There are some lightly raced horses with a bit of upside here so it won’t surprise if she drifts out from her current quote.
