Surin Beach is never far away and it strikes a winnable race. It is 1/1 0ver the track and trip and Damien Thornton knows the horse very well. Barrier 8 doesn’t make things easy but he missed by 0.1 two runs back in this grade and only carries 0.5kgs more in this for a slightly easier race. The $7.50 is over the odds.

El Santo promised the world early days and delivered an atlas. While I respect the horses chances in this race the 3 wins from 27 career starts is a concern and has only placed once from 8 runs on the soft. It is expected to be a soft 7 which won’t suit and overall the $3.40 is very short.
