He won first up at Sandown, was strong to the line second up behind Mr Brightside (strong form), then was very unlucky at a crucial stage in a good form race at Caulfield last time out. He maps in the perfect spot here while his key danger Vitruvius has drawn a tricky barrier out wide. Keen.

Five year old mare trained by Team Hayes. She has not been far away from Floating Artist at her last two starts and that horse has since ran fourth in the Melbourne Cup. Races well here. Looks over the odds at $12 in an even race.

Warning (Flemington Race 2 No. 1):
Warning is the current $2.60 favourite in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes. On a day where most of the favourites look to have terrific chances, I think he is the one that looks short enough in early markets. He doesn’t win out of turn and faces the prospect of a slowly run race here which is unlikely to suit.
