Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.
Kurabui (Flemington Race 5 No. 9)
Very progressive three year old trained by Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr. He is unbeaten in four trips to the races and drew away to beat La Chevalee last start who has since ran well in Sydney. He is only third up here so may have some improvement left and gets in on the minimum weight. Jamie Kah shouldn’t find too much trouble drawn out in barrier ten and I expect him to keep his unbeaten record in tact.

Pioneer River (Flemington Race 7 No. 4):
Pioneer River – now a gelding – hit the line really strongly when second here first up behind race favourite Curran. He will derive good benefit from that run and steps to 1200m which should suit. With the inform Ben Melham hopping aboard and a 2kg weight swing he looks a solid each way play at $8 in early markets.

Express Pass (Flemington Race 3 No. 1):
Express Pass is the early favourite in race three. He is a talented sprinter on his day and ran well at Sandown last week but I thought there were queries here dropping back to 1000m and rising in weight. He doesn’t represent any value at the current price.

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet flies on this track and is weighted superbly. Best Bet Steely Girl (Goulburn Race 6 No. 8) Flies here with 6 placings ( and 3 wins ) from 10 attempts. Superbly weighted after the claim and comes into this with a big chance. Slightly awkward draw but will be very hard to beat with even luck. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Steely Girl (Goulburn Race 6 No. 8) Good win last start breaking maiden and may well be able to go on with things here. The rail is in the A position. There is rain forecast but the track should get no worse than Soft. The first race is at 12.45 pm Hong Kong time which is 2.45 pm AEST. Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Sky Land (Hobart Race 1 No. 10) This 2YO filly takes on the older horses here but has been very game

Key Comments There are 7 races on a Good track where the rail is in the true position.
