Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Windstorm (Moonee Valley Race 6 No. 14)
This Redoubte’s Choice gelding from Perth has won five of his seven starts. He won three consecutive races at Belmont (1300m, 1300m and 1200m) then after a seven week let-up he finished 1.9 lengths 4th over 1100m at Caulfield on 29 August, where he ran on strongly out wide and needed more ground. He gets that here and will be hard to beat.

Cherry Tortoni (Flemington Race 2 No. 3):
This lovely chestnut has won all three of his starts. He debuted with a 1.5 length win over 1200m at Sale then caught the eye when charging through the pack and wining by 1.5 lengths over 1420m at Flemington. He started favourite in the Taj Rossi over 1600m at Flemington on 4 July where he showed a strong will to win and I think he will be very competitive here.

Russian Camelot (Flemington Race 7 No. 13):
This Camelot horse  is the early favourite in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes over 1600m. He resumes here, as do several others and has drawn very wide. He is a lovely horse but I feel he is better over further and that he is a risk first-up. I’m sure he will run well but I don’t think he’ll win.

Key Comments The feature is the Listed Sheila Gwynne Classic for fillies & mares (race 6). The track is Good and the rail is +5 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Siren Assault (Ascot Race 1 No. 1) This filly won 2 in a row before a game 5th in the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m here on 20th April. Provided she can handle the 7 day back-up she will be too good for this field. Check odds on SmartB Analyst:

Key Comments The rail is true. The track is in the soft range. The best bet is halfway through the day and surprised about the odds on offer for it still. Needs to lug weight but is a huge hope against this field. Best Bet Arctic Legend (Tamworth Race 5 No. 2) Steps up in grade but was nothing short of brilliant when resuming from a long break. Suited to this field. Should be able to go right on with things here and

Key Comments The track is rated Good and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Isle Eight (Mackay Race 2 No. 1) This gelding from Rockhampton has been runner-up at his last 2 starts there. He tends to get back in his races and runs on. Looks ready to win. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Cerared (Mackay Race 3 No. 6) Cerared placed here 3 starts back, then was a
