This five-year-old gelding has had 30 starts for eight wins and five places and has raced at this track twice before for a win and a place. He won by 2 lengths over 1600m at Morphettville on 5 December, then fought gamely the entire straight but was outgunned the final 50m for a length 5th over 1600m at Morphettville on 18 December. Kayla Crowther sticks with him and he looks beautifully placed.

Challicum (Bordertown Race 6 No. 3):
This six-year-old Anacheeva gelding has six wins and four places from 29 starts, and has placed at three of his five starts at this track. He fought gamely but was outgunned in the final 75m for a length, length 3rd over 2000m at Bordertown on 13 December, then he battled steadily for a length. 4.5 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Nhill on 27 December. He looks a good each-way chance again.

This six-year-old Snitzel gelding is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap over 1200m. He worked home strongly from last to finish 1.5 lengths 4th over 1100m at Penola on 4 December, then hit the lead approaching the turn and held them all at bay for a 0.7 length win at Naracoorte on 27 December. He hasn’t had success in four runs at this track and others offer better value.
