Baraconi (Oakbank Race 6 No. 1)
This three-year-old Nicconi filly has had 13 starts for two wins and six places and both wins were over this distance. She weakened in the final 100m for 3 lengths 4th over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 27 February, then was taken wide and battled away in the straight for 1.5, 1.5 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 13 March. She gets a 3kg claim and should fight out the finish.

Longclaw (Oakbank Race 7 No. 1):
This five-year-old Fastnet Rock gelding has four wins and eight places from 24 starts. He kept fighting to the line when 0.2, 3.5 lengths 3rd over 3200m at Warrnambool over hurdles on a heavy track on 5 July, then pluggead away for 32 lengths 4th iver 3200m in a Ballarat steeplechase on a heavy track on 23 August. Resuming here from a 31 week spell he has had multiple trials and goes well first-up. He is worth an each-way bet.

This five-year-old Bianconi gelding is the early favourite in this maiden/class 1 plate over 1900m. He resumed from a spell for 6.1 lengths 6th ver 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 6 March, then was well back before finishing 5.9 length 9th of 13 over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 20 March. Other runners offer better value.
