Our Murray Bridge Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Lutz  (Murray Bridge Race 5 No. 5)
This three-year-old Panzer Division gelding trained by Richard and Chantelle Jolly at Morphettville has two wins and one place from seven starts. He worked over to lead narrowly on the rails before being headed at the 400m and battled on for 2.3 lengths 4th over 1800m at Murray Bridge on 23 June, then was well back on the turn but worked home strongly for a 0.6 length win over 2212m at Balaklava on 30 June. Rates highly and looks a top chance here.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Sharply Attired (Murray Bridge Race 9 No. 9):
This four-year-old Epaulette mare has one win and three places from 11 starts and the win was over this distance. She was always well back when she finished 6.6 lengths 8th of 12 over 1800m at Murray Bridge on 16 January, then plugged steadily and pulled up lame when 7.2 lengths 9th over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 31 January. She resumes after 23 week and goes well fresh. Worth an each-way wager.

Best Lay

Arthuras (Murray Bridge Race 8 No. 3):
This four-year-old Good Journey gelding trained by Sue Jaensch is the early favourite in this BM 54 handicap over 1800m. She took over at the 400m but tired in the final 50m for 0.4, 0.3 lengths 3rd over 1800m at Murray Bridge on 23 June, then raced ungenerously and never looked likely when 3.5 lengths 8th over 1600m at Murray Bridge on 3 July. Up in weight and distance and I am willing to risk her here.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments First day of the Grafton Carnival. The feature race is the Ramornie Handicap (race 7). The best bet also comes up in that race and is a proven classy performer who comes off a luckless second placing. Best Bet Pereille (Grafton Race 7 No. 3) Proven top shelf performer who had no luck last run when bolting at a crucial stage. Maps for a lovely run, has in the form jockey Lloyd aboard and only needs clean air in the big

Horse Racing Tips: NT Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The feature is the $50,000 Finance Cup over 1600m (race 6). The track is sand and is rated Good and the weather is fine. The rail remains in the true position. Best Bet Pink Panther (Darwin Race 6 No. 3) He’s won both starts this preparation and steps up to the mile – a distance he’s won 3 times from 4 attempts. Hard to beat. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The track is in the soft range. The rail is in the 5 metres. The best bet sees an easier race than last start on paper and looks very hard to beat. Best Bet Little Cointreau (Randwick Race 6 No. 2) Has been racing in good fashion and brings in some very credible form lines around the likes of Elouyou and Captain Furai. Back off the heavy ground should suit and maps for a dream run from barrier 2. Deserving favourite.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Wednesday 17th July 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 6 metres. The best bet was only narrowly denied last run in the same grade and can go one better this time around. Best Bet Nodachi (Sandown Race 3 No. 1) Going against the favourite and expecting Nodachi to come into good support on race day. Narrowly denied in this grade last start and this race is no harder. From barrier 5 it maps for a better run than its danger and is likeable odds. Lane steers
