Our Gawler Racing Tips for Saturdays meeting.
Second Slip (Gawler Race 7 No. 2)
This four-year-old gelding trained by Will Clarken has had 13 starts for three wins and three places, and has won his last two starts. He won by 0.1 length over 1200m at Woodville in New Zealand on 15 March before a spell. He resumed with a 1.2 length win at his first Australian start over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. That was a solid win and he looks a major contender.

Each Way
Motell (Gawler Race 3 No. 8):
This four-year-old Uncle Mo gelding has two wins and three places from 12 starts. He was well supported in the betting and kept coming for a 0.3 length win over 1600m at Morphettville on 18 December, then kept chasing gamely but couldn’t get to the tearaway leader for 1.8 lengths 2nd over 1600m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. He carries 2 kg less here and looks a good each-way chance.

Best Lay
Fearless Vision (Gawler Race 8 No. 9):
This three-year-old filly is the early favourite in this BM 60 handicap over 1100m. She started favourite and worked home for 2 lengths, a length 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 24 October before an 11 week spell. When she resumed she started favourite again but was slowly away and never really got into the race for 4.4 lengths 9th over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. I feel she has had enough chances and am looking elsewhere.

Best Bet Zaragoza (Kembla Grange Race 7 No. 2) Surprised it isn't favourite. Enormous win 2 runs back beating a smart one on this track. Found the going too tough fresh but but bumped into a handy field including The Black Cloud who has won convincingly up in grade since. Tough draw but has the
