Our Gawler Racing Tips for Saturdays meeting.

Second Slip (Gawler Race 7 No. 2)
This four-year-old gelding trained by Will Clarken has had 13 starts for three wins and three places, and has won his last two starts. He won by 0.1 length over 1200m at Woodville in New Zealand on 15 March before a spell. He resumed with a 1.2 length win at his first Australian start over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. That was a solid win and he looks a major contender.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Motell (Gawler Race 3 No. 8):
This four-year-old Uncle Mo gelding has two wins and three places from 12 starts. He was well supported in the betting and kept coming for a 0.3 length win over 1600m at Morphettville on 18 December, then kept chasing gamely but couldn’t get to the tearaway leader for 1.8 lengths 2nd over 1600m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. He carries 2 kg less here and looks a good each-way chance.

Best Lay

Fearless Vision (Gawler Race 8 No. 9):
This three-year-old filly is the early favourite in this BM 60 handicap over 1100m. She started favourite and worked home for 2 lengths, a length 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 24 October before an 11 week spell. When she resumed she started favourite again but was slowly away and never really got into the race for 4.4 lengths 9th over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 9 January. I feel she has had enough chances and am looking elsewhere.

The best bet comes up in the Golden Gift and can build off a very solid debut. Looks nicely placed and will take beating in its respective race. Best Bet North England (Rosehill Race 6 No. 2) Loved the debut effort this quality runner from the Gai Bott stable. Sets up nicely from

Key Comments There are 7 races. The track is rated good and the rail is +3 metres from the 800m to the 400m and +2 metres for the remainder. Best Bet Painted Pony (Gawler Race 3 No. 5) She has placed at her last 4 starts and is ready to win. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 8th November 2024

Key Comments The track is in the good range. Looking to land a multi with the first 2 of the day to kick things off in style. Best Bet Mr Damage (Kempsey Race 1 No. 4) Keen to throw in a multi with Oakfield Hawk (race 2). Beaten as an odds on favourite but very well suited in this field and from the good draw will take plenty of beating. Oakfield Hawk is also coming off a good last start win and has
