Our Murray Bridge Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Star Of Uma (Murray Bridge Race 3 No. 5)
This three-year-old I Am Invincible filly trained by Tony McAvoy has two wins and three places from six starts. At the end of last campaign she worked to the lead and kept fighting when headed at the 250m for 0.5, 1.75 lengths 3rd in the Listed Twilight Glow Stakes over 1400m at Sandown Hillside on 14 November. She rwesumed after 25 weeks for a very close 2nd over 1000m at Morphettville on 8 May. Drops 4kg from that run and should win.

Each Way

Bullet Kid  (Murray Bridge Race 8 No. 9):
This eight-year-old Bite The Bullet gelding trained by Sue Jaensch has hit a purple patch of form, winning his last three starts. He came from midfield to reach the lead in the straight and draw away for a 1.9 length win over 1200m at Gawler on 25 April, then improved from near last to draw clear in the final 100m and win by 2.6 lengths over 1200m at Murray Bridge on 5 May. He looks a nice each-way chance.

Best Lay

Neodium (Murray Bridge Race 7 No. 1):
This four-year-old grey gelding trained by Phillip Stokes is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap over 1600m. He fought hard but was gunned down late for 0.2 length 2nd over 1500m at Gawler on 5 April, then kept chasing solidly for 0.1, 0.2 length 3rd over 1400m at Morphettville on 8 May. He has drawn very wide and has a big weight, and I am prepared to risk him here.

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 900m-600m mark and true for the remainder. The best bet looks well placed to bounce back with a drop in grade and the leading country rider aboard. Best Bet D'oro Choice (Mudgee Race 2 No. 2) Good run 2 starts back 2nd in this grade behind a handy one. Always ideal to have Bullock booked in these kinds of races and he can overcome the wide draw and top weight. Drops back in

Key Comments An 8 race meeting on the synthetic Poly Track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Tavistorm (Sunshine Coast Poly Track Race 4 No. 6) On a 7 day back-up after being runner-up here in a photo finish. He was slowly away then had the race best closing splits. Main hope. Key Comments Features are the $50,000 Tasmanian Sires Produce (race 3) and the $50,000 3YO Autumn Classic (race 6). The track is rated as soft and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Thespian Waters

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 12th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 3 metres from the 900m mark to the 275m mark and true for the remainder. The best bet has been racing honestly this prep and looks hard to hold out. Best Bet Astunner (Queanbeyan Race 5 No. 4) This 4yo Gelding is having a great prep and has been in the quinella its past 3 starts. The usual rider Budler is aboard to steer and this race looks smart placement by connections to continue on its winning
