Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Levi’s Storm (Eagle Farm Race 4 No. 6)
This three-year-old Shamus Award gelding trained by Cody Morgan at Tamworth has two wins from four starts. He kicked away in the straight to win the Country Showcase Maiden Plate by 6.09 lengths over 1200m at Tamworth on 7 March, then won a Class 1 by 3.06 lengths over 1200m at Tamworth on 17 May. Resumes here from a 9 week let-up and with the 3kg claim should win.

Each Way

Gdansk (Eagle Farm Race 5  No. 1):
This three-year-old Dissident gelding has had 10 starts for two wins and four places. He was tightened at the start and lost ground to the back of the field before running on for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Gold Coast  on 12 June, then he led for home and hung out in the final stages to finish 0.1 length 2nd over 1400m at Gold Coast on 26 June. He has ran 3rd at all three starts this preparation and looks a solid each-way chance again.

Best Lay

Goldschlager (Eagle Farm Race 6 No. 7):
This three-year-old Deep Field filly has a win and four places from 11 starts and is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1400m. She was slowly away and improved for 2.65 lengths 4th over 1350m at Doomben on 16 June, then came from well back to run on near the rail for a length 2nd over 1350m at Ipswich on 8 July. With only one win from 11 starts I am prepared to risk her here.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Key Comments The rail is true. The track is in the soft range. This track usually favours those on speed. Best Bet Final Atom (Horsham Race 7 No. 1) Should land up on speed and prove hard to catch. Walters steers from the good draw and she is 3 rides aboard for 2 seconds. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Bubble Palace (Horsham Race 6 No. 5) Should
