On debut he ran on best for a narrow win over 1200m at Doomben on 17 March, then led all the way for a 1.75 length win over 1350m at Doomben on 5 April. How to pick a winner

Each Way

Champagne Toots (Ipswich Race 8  No. 6):
This four-year-old Sacred Falls mare has had three wins and four places from 12 starts. When resuming from a 16 week spell she ran on strongly for a 1.8 length win over 1200m at Sunshine Coast on 28 February, then was checked at the 1100m and ran on without threatening for 4.5 lengths 2nd on a heavy track over 1350m at Doomben on 17 March.

Best Lay

Brave Nick (Ipswich Race 3 No. 2):
This three-year-old Nicconi gelding is the early favourite in this maiden handicap over 1666m. He began fairly and worked his way to 2nd before fading to finish 0.1, 2.75 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Gold Coast on 27 February, then he started favourite and finished 2, 0.3 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 4 April. There are a couple of runners in this race close to breaking their maiden and he doesn’t represent value.

Key Comments The feature is the Listed Sheila Gwynne Classic for fillies & mares (race 6). The track is Good and the rail is +5 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Siren Assault (Ascot Race 1 No. 1) This filly won 2 in a row before a game 5th in the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate over 1200m here on 20th April. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 26th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The track is in the soft range. The best bet is halfway through the day and surprised about the odds on offer for it still. Needs to lug weight but is a huge hope against this field. Best Bet Arctic Legend (Tamworth Race 5 No. 2) Steps up in grade but was nothing short of brilliant when resuming from a long break. Suited to this field. Should be able to go right on with things here and
