Our Ipswich Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Divine Diva (Ipswich Race 5 No. 4)
This five-year-old Sebring mare has had 10 starts for three wins and three places. She steadied off heels and chased solidly for 0.65 length 2nd over 1550m at Murwillumbah on 12 October, then took over at the 150m and bolted in for a 5 length win in a class 3 handicap on a soft track over 1666m at Ipswich on 28 October. Michael Cahill sticks with her and she should win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Front Page News (Ipswich Race 7  No. 14):
This five-year-old Written Tycoon gelding has started 25 times and has only won once but has 12 places. He led on the rails and drew clear from the 600m and kept going strongly for a 4.75 length win on a heavy track over 2175m at Toowoomba on 24 October to finally break his maiden, then led until headed at the 200m and battled away for 4 lengths 2nd over 2200m at Sunshine Coast on 8 November. He carries 4kg less than last start and is worth an each-way bet.

Soul Dancer (Ipswich Race 1  No. 1):
This Sizzling filly has a win and three places from eight starts. She jumped awkwardly and ran on for a 0.2 length win over 1600m at Doomben on 10 October, then was held up at the 600m and only battled when clear for 6.95 lengths 4th over 1640m at Doomben on 31 October. She goes up in weight and doesn’t look like value.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Key Comments The rail is true. The track is in the soft range. This track usually favours those on speed. Best Bet Final Atom (Horsham Race 7 No. 1) Should land up on speed and prove hard to catch. Walters steers from the good draw and she is 3 rides aboard for 2 seconds. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Bubble Palace (Horsham Race 6 No. 5) Should
