Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
Leadership Spill (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 1)
This four-year-old gelding trained by Tony Gollan has three wins and five places from 10 starts and goes well at this distance. Last campaign he led to the home turn but faded at the end for 2.75, 0.4 lengths 3rd over 1110m at Doomben on 31 October then was spelled for 15 weeks. He resumed with an easy 2.25 length win over 1050m at Doomben on 13 February. Starting from barrier 1 with his early speed and good form he should win comfortably.

Each Way
Rebel Salute (Eagle Farm Race 8 No. 5):
This four-year-old Deep Field gelding has raced eight times for three wins and four places. When second-up he couldn’t reach the winner and finished 0.4 length 2nd over 1350m at Doomben on 4 February, then he drew away late for a 0.75 length win over 1350m on a heavy track at Doomben on 18 February. He has drawn the inside barrier and looks a solid each-way chance.

Best Lay
Guise (Eagle Farm Race 8 No. 5):
This So You Think mare is the early favourite in this Class 6 Plate over 1805m. She was winded in the latter stages and finished 4.2 lengths 8th over 1800m at Kensington on 17 February, then charged home late for 0.2, 0.3 lengths 3rd over 1800m at Sunshine Coast on 27 February. She is a hard mare to follow as she can run last one start then win the next, and I am prepared to risk her in this very open race.

Best Bet Hold (Goulburn Race 2 No. 4) The best bet comes up in the second race. Likeable first up win and handles the wet conditions which is a big tick here. Taking on the favourite who had 3 goes in the heavy for no placings. Not much between them in the market. Check
