Our Gold Coast Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Mishani Miss (Gold Coast Race 1 No. 1)
This Denman filly has three wins and two places from eight starts. She ran on without threatening when 3.25 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 15 August, then drew clear at the 200m for a 2 length win over 1050m at Doomben on 5 September. She should go well again and notch up another win.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Bargannon (Gold Coast Race 3 No. 4):
This Elzaam gelding has had a frustrating run of three 4th placings recently. He finished 1.85 lengths 4th over 1615m at Doomben on 8 August, then had to be steadied and finished 5.2 lengths 4th over 2000m at Doomben on 22 August. He has been to this track twice before for a win and a place and looks a good each-way bet.

Best Lay

Getyourgreyon (Gold Coast Race 9 No. 6):
This Bel Esprit gelding is the early favourite in this BM 75 handicap over 1800m. He ran on for 0.8 lengths 4th over 1350m at Doomben on 22 August, then led to home and held on for a 0.4 length win over 1600m at Doomben on 5 September. He has never won beyond 1600m and others are better value.

Best Bet Deep Discretion (Northam Race 1 No. 9) She ran 3rd at Pinjarra last outing and is on the improve. Shoudn’t be a maiden much longer. Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
