Black bookers from Saturday’s Group 1 meeting at Rosehill.

Black Booker #1

Miami Bound (Race 7)

We made Miami Bound a black booker after her Australian Cup run and she stays in after another cracking run on Saturday.  She had plenty against her, sitting off the rails and being held up upon straightening but has still found the line very well.  She is right on track for the Sydney Cup which will be run on April 17 and she looks good each way odds at $9.

Black Booker #2

Rock (Race 8)

Rock gets a long way back in his races, so needs conditions to suit but he has gone as well as he possibly could to run fourth in the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude.  He is going to be a lot better suited if the Hawkes camp can find a race for him on the bigger track at Randwick third up.  Traditionally it is easier for back markers to make ground there and he is a horse that takes a bit of time to build through his gears.

Black Booker #3

Nudge (Race 9)

There was good money around to suggest Nudge was ready to run well on Saturday and that’s exactly what she has done.  The Chris Waller runner got a long way back in the run and has made up terrific ground against the pattern of the day to finish third.  She now has a lovely platform to tackle a 1600m race third up and then a 2000m race fourth up.
