Our Canberra Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Temoin Chaud (Canberra Race 4 No. 5)
This four-year-old Star Witness mare trained by Nick Olive has won two of her five starts. She resumed after 17 weeks for 6 lengths 10th over 1200m at Randwick on 5 September, where she jumped awkwardly and was winded in the latter stages, then kept coming in the final stages to just miss a minor spot when 2.17 lengths 4th over 1400m at Canberra on 18 September. The extra 200m should suit and she won third-up last preparation. She should be a major player here.

Big Steve (Canberra Race 7 No. 8):
This three-year-old gelding has only had two starts and has not been far away. He debuted for 0.63 length, 1.92 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Queanbeyan on 8 September, then settled back 2nd last and weaved a passage through to finish 3.8 lengths 4th over 1000m at Canberra on 18 September where he made good ground in the final stages and should like the extra 200m. He is worth an each-way bet.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card with a few short favourites that look hard to beat. The best bet comes up in race 5 and is knocking on the door for a win. Best Bet Subrising (Ballarat Race 5 No. 6) Comes off the back of 2 second placings and Egan will ride from the wide draw. A lot to like about the past few runs and looks a better hope than the favourite who may just get too far back in this.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments 7 race card with a heavy 10 track at the time of writing so the meeting may or may not go ahead. The best bet is in the first and has the leading country jockey doing the steering. Best Bet Oakfield Peewee (Taree Race 1 No. 1) Can kick off the day a winner. Bullock rides from barrier 12 and hasn't been far away in all three runs to date. Looks suited jumping up in trip and is the logical winner

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 27th April 2024

Key Comments An 9 race meeting on the synthetic Poly Track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Pernell (Gold Coast Poly Race 8 No. 1) On a 7 day back-up after a win at this track and distance. Races really well on the poly track. Goes up in weight but can win again. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Greyzous (Gold Coast Poly Race 6 No. 12) This filly

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 27th April 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Good and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Hammarmill (Geraldton Race 3 No. 7) Came from well back for a 1.3 length win at this track and distance last start. Up in class but down in weight and looks a major contender. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Bayhara (Geraldton Race 6 No. 8) Came from last to win over 1600m last start
