Our Canberra Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Per Ivy (Canberra Race 2 No. 4)
With one start for one win this three-year-old filly has started her career well. Trained by Matthew Snith she chased hard to prevail in the final stages for a 0.4 length win over 1000m at Wyong on 25 November. Since then she was a close 2nd in an open trial at Warwick Farm. Perfectly drawn in barrier one she can win again.

Each Way
Yesterday’s Gone (Canberra Race 4 No. 3):
This four-year-old Fighting Sun mare trained by Keith Dryden has only had one start. She took over at the 200m and looked the winner but found one better in the final stages to finish 0.6 length 2nd over 1000m at Warren on 10 December. Should have benefitted from that experience and looks worth an each-way wager on her home track.

Mr Magical (Canberra Race 7 No. 1):
This five-year-old Magic Albert gelding trained by Jamie Stewart has six wins and three places from 13 starts and is the early favourite in this Open Handicap over 1000m. At the end of last campaign he won three races in a row at Moruya and the Sapphire Coast. Resumes here after 26 weeks with a big weight and the outside barrier. Prepared to risk him in this tougher race.
