Our Canberra Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.
Affinity Beyond (Canberra Race 4 No. 8)
This four-year-old Starspangledbanner mare trained by Luke Pepper has three wins and two places from eight starts. She resumed after 46 weeks for a 1.54 length win over 1050m at Wagga on 28 November, then jumped awkwardly and was winded late for 3.6 lengths 6th over 1000m at Randwick on 12 December. Since then she won a Canberra trial and is a leading hope.

Each Way
Designer Dance (Canberra Race 6 No. 3):
This six-year-old mare has had two wins and eight places from 16 starts and has been placed at her last three runs. She drove to the front and looked the winner but peaked late to finish 0.1,0.8 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Nowra on 6 December, then chased hard for 0.8 lengths 2nd in a Highway Class 2 handicap over 1300m at Randwick on 19 December. She looks a good each-way chance again.

Best Lay
Fuchsia Rose (Canberra Race 3 No. 7):
This three-year-old Vancouver filly is the early favourite in this maiden handicap over 1400m and has recently changed trainers from Chris Waller to Keith Dryden in Canberra. She has raced twice for 9.4 lengths 7th over 1200m at Kembla Grange on 24 October, then made some ground from well back in the field for 6.5 lengths 8th over 1500m at Kembla Grange on 14 November. She looks too short a price on her form to date.

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Tuesday 15th October 2024
Key Comments Expecting on pace runners to be suited. The best bet is a progressive type coming off a large maiden win and can go right on with things in a suitable step up in grade. Best Bet Perfectly Good (Kilmore Race 6 No. 12) Drawn to perfection and a lot to like about the last start win when backed off the map and winning with ease. Was a real eye catcher and a good thing beaten the start prior and form lines
Horse Racing Tips: NSW Tuesday 15th October 2024
Key Comments A small 7 race card takes place. Expecting Andrew Mallyon to be the jockey to follow as he rides mostly favourites for the card. Expecting all runners to have their chance on this track. Best Bet Written Fame (Murwillumbah Race 6 No. 5) Written Fame is a consistent runner who is yet to miss the top 4 this prep. This 4yo Gelding is 2/3 on this track and has won fourth up in the past. The only niggle is its record
Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 14th October 2024
Key Comments The track is in the good range. The best bet looks very hard to beat with Andrew Gibbons aboard and has been subject to some very strong early market support. Best Bet Calga Power (Tamworth Race 2 No. 9) Strong effort on debut when running a commendable fourth and should get every hope from the solid draw in this. Maps for a tidy run, Gibbons sticks, drops in grade and looks very hard to beat as the market suggests. Check odds

Key Comments On pace runners should be suited. The track is in the good range. The best bet mixes its form but should really appreciate a decent drop in grade and can return to its winning ways. Best Bet Cyclone Harmony (Bairnsdale Race 7 No. 2) Keen on the chances of Cyclone Harmony who is the class runner of the race and capable of a strong run when things fall into place for it. Barrier 6 should ensure a good run and both
