Our Canberra Racing Tips for Sundays Black Opal meeting.

Remarque (Canberra Race 7 No. 2)
This two-year-old Snitzel colt trained by team Hawkes has raced once for an impressive win. He started favourite on debut because he had won both lead-up trials in good style and he duly saluted with a 2 length win over 1100m at Rosehill on 16 January.  He has had a seven week let-up with a trial to keep him sharp. He has drawn well in barrier 2 and looks ready to win the 2021 Black Opal Stakes.

Gem Dealer (Canberra Race 1 No. 6):
This five-year-old Dundeel mare has had four wins and three places from 21 starts. She resumed from a 12 week spell for a 4 length win on a heavy track over 1300m at Canberra on 7 August, then led early but faded for 2.6 lengths 7th over 1400m at Kembla Grange on 29 August. Resuming from a spell of 27 weeks she has won two of five first-up attempts and that combined with a trial placing on 19 February gives confidence to back her each-way on her home track.

Underground Music (Canberra Race 3 No. 10):
This four-year-old Your Song mare is the early favourite in this BM 65 handicap over 1400m. She resumed from a long spell for 1.17 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Canberra on 5 February, then battled hard for a 0.13 length win over 1300m in a Class 1 at Canberra on 19 February. The opposition is much tougher in this field and I am happy to risk her.

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The features are the Dalrello Stakes (race 6), Victory Stakes (race 8) and the Queensland Guineas (race 9). The track is soft and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Typhoon Taavi (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 3) This mare from the Tony Gollan stable has won her last 2 races by big margins. She has heaps of natural speed and gets a 3kg claim for Tahlia Fenton who has had success on her before. Leading hope. Check

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Friday 3rd May 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet is off the back of a strong second placing and looks hard to hold out launching from the good draw. Best Bet Red Red Wine (Echuca Race 8 No. 5) He has been hard to catch lately but was keen on him earlier this prep when he was smashed in the market and ran on well in a higher grade than this. Gets his chance in this field and should relish the drop in

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The feature is the Group 3 WA Sires' Produce Stakes (race 7). The track is rated Soft and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Profit Pocket (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) She’s won all 3 starts this campaign at Esperance, Ascot and Pinjarra At her last 2 wins she’s raced outside the leader before taking over for dominant wins. Think she can do it again. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 4th May 2024

Key Comments The rail is out 8 metres. The track played well last time. Suspect with the rail out that far it may suit those on speed. The best bet looks double the price it should be. Best Bet Cadmus (Caulfield Heath Race 3 No. 1) Hard to beat. Brilliant return up a few grades than this and looks superbly treated in this with the drop in grade. Smart move with the claim and is 1/1 over this trip. Check odds on
