Our Canberra Horse Racing Tips for this Friday’s meeting.

Dream Game (Canberra Race 4 No. 3)

Since coming to Matthew Dale’s stable from Queensland, the son of Dream Ahead hasn’t had the best of luck. A placing in Canberra on his stable debut was marred by the lameness found after the race before getting the blinkers on at Moruya and racing four wide, finishing a distant eighth. He went out for a break and come back over a fortnight ago, breaking his maiden in impressive style at Moruya. I think they adopt similar tactics here and head forward from barrier seven, and I don’t think the wet track is going to be a bother for him. Everything points to a forward showing here second up.

Current Price: $1.90

Best Each Way

Majestic Lilly (Canberra Race 2 No.8)

Happy to go with this girl who was fantastic last start. She sat outside of the lead the entire journey with Molly Burke in the saddle, looked beaten on the turn but grinded away before going through the gears to finish under half a length off the winner in second. Her work through the line really impressed me and on a track like Canberra, she can again sit near the pace before really getting into her work late. She is so close to her second career win, and I reckon she will go close to getting it here.

Current Price: $9.00

Horse Racing Tips: SA Sunday 19th May 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Good and the rail is in the true position. Best Bet Geeijo (Strathalbyn Race 2 No. 7) Did a lot wrong before making late ground for 4th at Murray Bridge when fresh. Was runner-up at Gawler at his only second-up attempt and looks well-placed here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Little Rich Boy (Strathalbyn Race 8 No. 4) Won by over 4 lengths at Gawler 2

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Sunday 19th May 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Heavy and the rail is +8 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Slippin' Jimmy (Sunshine Coast Race 2 No. 1) Last start winner over 1200m at Kilcoy and has won at Sunshine Coast before. Has drawn the inside barrier and should be hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Merchant Flyer (Sunshine Coast Race 8 No. 5) He made ground late for a 1.3 length

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 19th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Weldborough (Devonport Race 9 No. 3) Won by 2.5 lengths over

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 19th May 2024

Key Comments The best bet is in the first and looks awfully hard to beat the short quote. The track has been favouring those on speed lately. Best Bet Coffin Dodger (Sale Race 1 No. 2) So hard to beat here off the back of 2 superb runs. The latest they put a huge gap on third and will not get a better chance to break maiden than this. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
