Collingwood Magpies v Geelong Cats (Friday Afternoon)
For the reigning premiers Geelong this is almost do or die if they are to play finals footy in 2023. Collingwood have a top 2 spot sewn up but will be looking for a confidence booster coming off two losses. I’m pretty keen on Collingwood here despite the loss of star youngster Nick Daicos. Collingwood won easily when these sides met in round 1 and Geelong were far from convincing against a very undermanned Port Adelaide at home last week. Think the Pies come out hot, reignite their season and all but end the Cats season.

Brisbane Lions v Adelaide Crows (Saturday)
There is plenty to play for in this one. The Lions have mixed their form in recent weeks. They did enough to get over the top of the Dockers in Perth last week and need to keep winning to give themselves every chance of a top 2 finish and a home qualifying final. The Crows find themselves a game outside of the eight but are still a strong chance of playing finals if they can win two of their last three thanks to a healthy percentage. They were dominant last week against the Suns and have shown they are a much more competitive side on the road in recent times. The start for the Crows looks an attractive bet here especially given the Lions have to fly back from Perth and are coming off a six day break.
