Richmond Tigers v Fremantle Dockers

Friday 22/7/22 @ MCG

Last 5 Encounters |  Richmond 4  |  Fremantle 1

Both sides are off losses.

Richmond were in accurate in front of goal against seller dwellers North Melbourne and it proved costly in an upset few saw coming.  No Lynch or Martin again this week is problematic for the Tigers.

Fremantle were disappointing in a big game at home against Sydney.  They looked good early but really fell in a hole late and will be keen to bounce back strongly here.

With Richmond’s outs Fremantle can get the job done here in a crucial game for both sides.

Suggested Bet – 1.5 Units Fremantle (Win) @ $1.88 (Sportsbet)

Western Bulldogs v Melbourne Demons

Saturday 23/7/22 @ Docklands

Last 5 Encounters |  Western Bulldogs 2  |  Melbourne 3

The Grand Final rematch will be played under the lid at Marvel on Saturday night.

Crucial ins for both sides here.  Key forward Aaron Naughton returns for the Western Bulldogs, while one of the Brownlow Medal favourites – Clayton Oliver – is back for the Demons.

The Bulldogs were too good for St Kilda last week but very poor against Sydney and Brisbane the two weeks prior and I am far from sold on them.

Melbourne are working hard to get back to somewhere near there best.  They have won three of their last four and could of beaten Geelong in Geelong.  The five goal score line is a little miss leading.

Confident the Demons get it done.

Suggested Bet – 2.5 Units Melbourne Win @ $1.62 (Sportsbet)

  • Hawthorn (Win)

Geelong – Form side of the competition.  Defeated Port Adelaide in Adelaide last year during the home and away season.  They are going better this year and Port are going worse.

St Kilda – Poor against the Bulldogs last week.  Expecting them to bring much better effort this week and if they do then they should take care of the injury ravaged Eagles.

Hawthorn – I like Hawthorn here for a few reasons.  For one they are the better side.  But they also have a terrific record in Tasmania and I think North might struggle to get up again after an emotion packed game last week.
